Calcium spirulan may help cold sores
We investigated the potential of calcium spirulan, a compound derived from the microalga Spirulina platensis, to help prevent cold sores caused by the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1). In a thorough study, we assessed the effectiveness of this sulfated polysaccharide both in laboratory tests and through a practical trial involving people with recurring herpes labialis, also known as cold sores.

Our approach included examining how calcium spirulan affected the virus’s ability to attach to human skin cells. Using various experiments such as plaque reduction assays and analyzing viral proteins, we confirmed that calcium spirulan had significant inhibitory effects on HSV-1. In the practical trial, we compared the effects of topical calcium spirulan treatment against other commonly used antiviral medications among 198 participants, all of whom dealt with repeat cold sore outbreaks.

The results suggest that calcium spirulan could be a valuable option for topical treatment, offering new hope for those who suffer from cold sores. Additionally, our findings indicate that calcium spirulan may also show effectiveness against other herpesviruses. This points to the broader clinical implications of using natural compounds like calcium spirulan in managing viral infections.

Skin condition improved

Change to the skin! I consume it with lactic acid bacteria. At first, I took significantly more than recommended (two tablets after each meal) but experienced no side effects. My skin has dramatically improved, with fewer blemishes and breakouts, so I no longer worry. I maintain good skin even with just one tablet daily. I've also noticed an increase in my immunity, and my previous cold has improved too! The cost is reasonable, and I will continue taking it!

Recommended for those with oily scalp and face. I'm concerned about my scalp being sore and my face being oily and prone to acne, but pantothenic acid alleviates these issues. I initially took four tablets nightly, but now I take two in the morning and evening. It's beneficial to adjust the amount according to your menstrual cycle and the season. The capsules are easy to swallow.

I take this product on an empty stomach since it's an amino acid, and my stomach doesn't react negatively. I consume 1000 mg and always notice an effect on my facial skin; it enhances complexion and fullness. I use it to prevent colds and during them as well. I also give it to my children, and their illnesses usually last only two days.

Less frequent colds
Overall, I feel slightly better. The improvement in my intestinal environment is noticeable, as is the boost to my immunity. I've caught a cold much less often. Although the improvement isn't as dramatic as I expected from the recommended dosage, I believe it's a beneficial supplement when combined with others.
